The Department of the Treasury continues to implement sanctions as part of Operation Economic Outcast.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) targeted the vast criminal network of an India-based couple who supported Iran’s shadow fleet through a web of maritime fraud. OFAC also sanctioned an aviation company in Turkey for its ongoing services in support of Iran’s aviation sector.
“As we have said many times, under Operation Economic Outcast, you are either with us or against us,” said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. “We will sanction those who continue supporting the Iranian regime, whether by land, sea, or air.”
